Holiday Party

Michele Heights hosted a dinner and celebration party to celebrate the holidays. Children enjoyed face painting by Laura-Lynn as well as the craft station managed by United Sisters staff. Other raving entertainment included Santa, Henna by Sahar and a very successful photo booth by PhotoBox. Photography throughout the evenings capturing the art work on children’s faces, Santa mingling with children, and community members socializing with one another was artistically captured by Kayla from KP Photography. The highlight of the evening was a very interactive magician named Benoit Lavallee from Orbital Talent who put on an engaging show catering to both children and adults. His witty sense of humour and performance gave us all a good laugh or two! Our delicious dinner was catered by Shifa Restaurant, with desert and drinks provided by the Michele Heights Community House. Residents and community members had a chance throughout the evening to put their names in for a draw for raffle prizes at the end of the night. This was made possible from the generous donations of Bridgehead Coffee, Rexall, and Shopper’s Drug Mart. The Michele Heights Holiday Party 2018 was enjoyed by all who attended as we all relished in the show and dinner with neighbours. We were grateful to have the Honorable Jim Watson and MP Anita Vandenbeld join us for the event.

Thanks to the sponsors for their donations:
